Skill Net is an association of skilled workers focus on the development of skilled workers. It is a flagship program of FVTRS with a primary focus on forming grassroots-level associations of unorganized skilled workers. Skill Net was officially launched on 1st October 2015 in Bangalore, with over 1500 skilled workers in attendance.
To maintain a strong relationship with FVTRS trainees, skilled youth are organized into micro-level associations. These associations aim to ensure continuous engagement in livelihood activities, ongoing skill enhancement, enterprise development, and effective utilization of government programs. Additionally, Skill Net facilitates the fulfilment of social responsibilities and promotes internal resource development through thrift and credit programs.
The goal of Skill Net is to make skill training an ongoing and sustainable process, rather than a one-time activity. By nurturing these associations of skilled workers, FVTRS aims to create long-term positive impacts on their livelihoods and overall socio-economic development.
