Before becoming a professional gents' hairdresser, I worked as a daily wage labourer in my village alongside my parents. Over time, I realized that daily wage work had no future. I wanted a job that could provide me with a stable and sustainable income.

But how?

Since childhood, I was passionate about hairdressing, though my parents did not approve of it as a career. However, when I heard about the free hairdressing training offered by FVTRS in my hometown, I convinced my parents and joined the three-month course.

After completing the training, the first haircut I gave was to my father and brothers. Their appreciation boosted my confidence, and I knew I had found my path.

Today, I work at Ashok Hair Saloon, earning ₹10,000 per month. My dream is to open my own salon and provide employment opportunities for young people like me.
