All time-bound projects are categorised as regular projects as against specialised interventions that are necessitated by circumstances like natural disasters and man-made calamities. Regular project support is operational all over India. Currently 88 projects are running across 20 States where more than 20,000 youth undergo skill training in various trades.
84,487 youth have received training by mid 2010 of which 46,473 are women and 38,014 are men who belong to dalit, tribal and other backward categories. Catering, masonry, rexene bag and decorative garland making, para-veterinary technician, leaf-plate making, grafting training, multi-purpose health workers training, restaurant management and vermi compost are some of the new trades supported during the year.
